About Me

Thank you for visiting LB Computer’s educational website. A little about me…

I grew up with a father who works in the IT field. My childhood is filled with memories of replacing ram, installing new power supplies, trying to upgrade my household computer to be able to play the latest and greatest video games.

Little did I know that the experiences I took for granted as a child would lead to a vast bank of knowledge. One day I realized that I should pass this information and understanding on to others.

For most people there is great mystery about what happens behind a computer case. Computer retail stores will explain why their product is the “best” but never truly educate others on what they are purchasing and why.  With this website, I want to help give a general understanding of what I have learned over the years and have others share information to compile a plethora of knowledge to help educate the general public.

If you have information you would like to share, please comment. If you have more questions that have not been answered by this site, please feel free to contact me. Thank you again for visiting!

    Hi Kyle,
You are so cool! I love your site. I got here from Craigsllist. I love computers. I was in my forties when I got a 486 sx25. I was so hooked. I knew this was what I loved and I was born too late! So over the years I kept building computers and if I had extra parts, I’d build another one! My husband just puts up with my love we have computers strewn all over the house. I networked the mess and when we have had to have comcast out they all know my house………. Anyway, I pretty much quit building after the pentium 4’s and have been out of the loop. Looking to retire and learn again. I recently bought a (of course) homemade dual core (software loaded) computer, but I am constantly going to Newegg and slathering over parts. I do video and Photoshop and 3D. My incentive for computers! Canon cameras! Quadro video cards for rendering!

      Hey Mary,

Thanks for checking out. One of my first systems was a DOS based 486 with 8MB of RAM! Too funny, it is amazing to see who far computers have come over the years. Check the site once in a while for new posts. Let me know if there is anything that you would like me to blog about 🙂

      See ya around.

      Kyle
